Hello guys,

I am on the hunt for any remaining Superliners in the Phase IV paint scheme. Right now, there are a maximum of only 3 that I can think of.

39043 - Transition Sleeper (Just seen today in IV)

31018 - Coach/Baggage (Last update November 2008)

38053 - Diner (Almost no info on.)

If anyone has seen 31018 or 38053 from 2009 or later, please contact me (preferably with proof.) ASAP at TommyBNSF - at - gmail.com. Thanks!

Just noted today that 39043 is on tonight's 59 (see the "15 cars..." thread)

Wow, I saw it on the Southwest Chief inbound just this afternoon. Man that was fast. Makes sense they need all those cars. There were a TON of people boarding #3 today at Naperville.

Yeah. The code for San Juan Capistrano is not SJC as typed up in the movie but SNC. BTW, the code for San Jose shouldn't be SJC either. It should have been SJX like LAX. SJC should have been used for San Juan Capistrano

San Jose, California. Makes sense to me. SJC is also the San Jose airport code (not that Amtrak always follows airport codes, but in some cases they do).

Yes indeed. I'm still trying to find any recent picture or video of 38053. If that's in Phase IVb, then 39043 is the last Superliner in Phase IV.

BTW, anyone in Chicago area, 39043 should be coming north on the Texas Eagle tomorrow.

Yep, thanks for showing my picture. And of course I checked rrpicturearchives and googled it, but nothing came up. The only option now is to search videos on Youtube to see if it shows up there.

I did find a video of 38053, and unfortunately, the Phase IV Superliner is now over. 39043 has been repainted.

Now the only way to see a Phase IV Superliner is by going to Beech Grove and seeing damaged ones, but seeing them on the mainline is no more.
