My pass has expired on October 1. I've called the pass bureau then the website it guided me to and ended here. Has anyone received a new pass recently?.
Thanks

It definitely wasn’t an Amtrak operated website that directed you here.My pass has expired on October 1. I've called the pass bureau then the website it guided me to and ended here. Has anyone received a new pass recently?.

Amtrak no longer issues passes for Freight Retirees.I retired from N&S Railroad in 2015 how can I get a Amtrak pass
Just curious, what does the retiree pass let you do?Amtrak passes were issued to BNSF freight employees hired until 1980. ( I hired on in 1979 and immediately requested one.)
I learned in 2017 Amtrak cancelled all passes a year earlier in 2016. Neither BNSF/Amtrak ever notified me until I tried to use it.
This forum isn't affiliated with Amtrak, we're mostly railfans who just enjoy taking the train. I doubt anyone here (except maybe the original poster -- if they're still on this forum) can help.I called the Amtrak pass bureau for weeks. I hear a recorded message the pass bureau is on extended leave. Is there another way to reach the pass buareau?
There is an email address floating around on the Amtrak Employees Facebook page, in case you are part or want to join it.I called the Amtrak pass bureau for weeks. I hear a recorded message the pass bureau is on extended leave. Is there another way to reach the pass buareau?
Better than nothing, I suppose, but those hired at host railroads prior to Amtrak start, got free coach travel on their “home roads”, and half fare over other host railroads. That, and half fare for sleeper accommodation’s.If I remember correctly for those hired at BN after Amtrak took over in 1971 it was a 20% discount for travel. Tickets had to be purchased no earlier than 24 hours before travel to get the discount.
