Basically, the new Rome metro line, after all sorts of other issues, ran into the ruins of a barracks from ancient Rome. I like the above phrasing a bit more...since after all the arcane property/environmental fights I've seen, the idea of a uniformed Roman legionnaire hauling the head of a transit agency into court is an image I now cannot shake.
