So I am thinking of making another Monterey-via-Salinas trip and...it appears the Salinas station is open on the weekends now? I am looking at the hours and this appears to be a seven day a week station:

I’m wondering, did you get the Bicycle situation solved and were you planning to ride at the Ft. Ord bicycle riding area.

I had no specific plans for that! I was not aware of that at the time, but there are lots of bike paths there, so I just went out and rode wherever.

What I did was, I was going from Portland to LA and stopping for few nights midway in Monterey. So I FedExed a few bags down to their LA location by my hotel there and brought the rest with me, plus the folding bike.
