I just received a Select Packet with a card that states "Valid thru 2/28/2013" On my AGR Account it says I'm qualified through 2014.. What gives? I have coupons that are good through Oct 31, 2013. Am I freaking out to soon?? I am a newbie to all this select business...

The cards are produced annually, with validity starting March 1st each year, but the coupons in the packet are good for 12 months from the time you get them. By March 1st, you'll get another packet for 2013 including the 2013 select card.

Hmm, that's new! Coupons used to expire Feb 28th, just like the ones issued on March 1st, along with the cards.

Wonder when the started printing the coupons to order, such that the expire 12 months later after issuance?

Notice that the 2012 coupons have the expiration date and blackout dates printed in the same way as your name and member number? Used to be the old coupons had the expiration and blackout dates baked onto the coupon in a spot that wasn't dynamically printable. Since the blackout dates are based on whatever 12-month period your coupon is good for, it makes sense to me that they are included in that location of the coupon.

Actually, no, I hadn't noticed that before. But I see now upon looking that it is indeed the case. So this is a practice that started with 2012, as that was not the case last year IIRC.
