Silver Meteor sold out nearly a year from now

So, if Amtrak were *managed properly*, there would be an immediate plan to assign additional Viewliner sleepers to the Meteor on these two "sold out" days.  Using the sleeper cars which were supposed to be delivered from CAF.

Unfortunately those cars haven't managed to be delivered. And even then I strongly doubt they will do that.

I looked and it’s just the sleepers on 98(8) that are sold out. The Star is completely available, as is coach on the Meteor. It does seem a bit odd, since that would be 45 rooms sold out within two days of being bookable.

Didn't the same thing happen just before they eliminated the dining car on the silver star?

Apparently some rooms were released.  Prices are high, so probably not many.  Or they added another sleeper (maybe a bag-dorm).

They don't have any single-level bag-dorms in revenue service yet...

Maybe the space wasn't released to begin with and someone released it manually when it failed to release on its own.

Considering it’s a year away I’m thinking the bag-dorms MAY be available by then.
