Just went on to my AGR account and noticed I had "less points". There was a subtaction of 1175 points from my account on 3/22. What was that all about? Has that ever happened to any of you?

Did you get a refund or credit for any tickets or partner point purchases ?

The only time I ever got points taken away is when I booked a trip on my credit card to New Orleans and Los Angeles... but then had to cancel it a few months later... and got a credit back on my card. It made sense to take points away because I earned them for booking that trip... now I'm not going... they should take them back.

My question is... what if I spent those points already... and had a "0" balance in my account??

Would by AGR account actually show a negative balance then??

(I have enough points in there at the time it was still a positive balance, just minus about 2,000 points for the trip I booked and cancelled)

That is an interesting question that I have also wondered.

It can only happen with credit card points, right? Since rail travel does not post until after you travel.
