Texas Eagle Los Angeles to Dallas

Great report and photos! The sunset shot from Alpine, TX is stunning. Bummer about the Chandon - don't forget you can BYOB in the sleepers. Möet from your bag, OJ from the train attendent = best way to start the morning on the train.

Great report! Learned something new reading your report. So on the TE, the SCA changes in San Antonio and the roomettes are not in bed mode as it is on the Sunset Limited.

It was really strange to wake up the next morning in the same room, but to be at the front and have literally every staff member be different. I think the only reason the beds weren't turned down already when we boarded was because they let us get on 90 minutes before departure. I wonder if they'll keep doing that since it definitely seemed to make a bit more work for the SCA. Luckily, we had a great SCA who didn't let us know if he minded or not!

We'll be sure to stock our own refreshments in the future. ^_^
