Fort Worth use to require a backup. But now that it uses TRE route it is pull through. Don't think there are any that currently require backup moves.

San Antonio requires a back-up because the station is on the East/West tracks used by the Sunset Limited. Departures back-up over a mile south past the Alamo Dome to get on the UP north bound main.

I reviewed the stations, Chicago to San Antonio even to Los Angeles, again only San Antonio requires the TE is back up. Ft. Worth required a back-up both directions until they started using the TRE rail between Ft Worth and Dallas..

Lonestar is correct but when the Eagle has a CHI-STL Cutout Coach (#321/#322)and picks up/drops said Coach, there will be a back-up move involved.

I have also been on the NB Eagle #22 several times (.but not in the last couple of years) when we did backup moves into CHI Union Station for whatever reason?

Last time I rode there was no backup to cut off the St Louis coach. Simply pulled away and left it for another loco to move.

Don't recall what happened when we picked it up.
