It's been in decline for the past 10-15 years at least, but it seems that the decline is accelerating. Over the last month or so, I'be encountered rush hour disruptions about half the times I ride, which is more or less daily. Then the doors started opening between stations, they pulled the cars involved and are running 6 car trains for the sardine can experience. Not to mention various fatal accidents.
