It's been in decline for the past 10-15 years at least, but it seems that the decline is accelerating. Over the last month or so, I'be encountered rush hour disruptions about half the times I ride, which is more or less daily. Then the doors started opening between stations, they pulled the cars involved and are running 6 car trains for the sardine can experience. Not to mention various fatal accidents.

Welcome to the third world, America. And our governor wants Metro to hire a financial bean counter as the next director, when what they need is someone who can whip operations in shape.
 
And the beat goes on!

This is the same attitude that caused the DC Municipal Government and School System to become a 4th World Operation and laughing stock by the residents, the media and responsible public officials!
