Yeah. I was going to say that it looked like the old AGR window was trying to lay on top of the new one somehow. What the h*** is up with my browser, then?
Edit: Did a ctrl+F5, fixed it. Odd that it went so disjointedly without that.
There are two types of drop down menus. The first is if you're not logged in. The second is when you're logged in, but even that looks basic until you click on the arrow. Then it shows your points and status, with another drop down menu when you click on the arrow. Before, the points and status were instantly displayed. The AGR dropdown works like most other dropdowns. When you hover over the little arrow, the dropdown menu opens. Some websites require you to click it. This design is actually easier for those who may not realize they have to click the arrow.
It took a couple of hours.Amtrak Status Maps doesn't seem to be pulling in updates, to there must have been a minor change, hopefully John can fix it up without too much work.
I can click on the calendar on the left hand side on that page when attempting to buy a ticket...Bugs when booking a promotion ticket:
http://www.amtrak.com/train-days/
Go through the link, and you will find out that the calendar is not clickable.
The link is there on the front page on the lower left side in the Check Train Status box.Ok. I know that I wear bifocals these days, but where did the track the train map go? I've been all over the new site and don't see it anywhere.
That happens to me with some degree of frequency. I think it means the app isn't working at the time (I try it on different computers and get the same thing, so it's not just one of those "only my computer" things).I just clicked on that. It worked yesterday, but today I got a blank white box. Did that happen to anyone else?
Still making my list .I'm sure Amtrak would like to hear all these feedbacks. Hope y'all are sending them in.
I never book round trips. It's easier to change one-ways without risking messing up the whole trip. Plus eliminates a the risk of having the whole trip cancelled if my ticket isn't scanned on the outbound trains.Still making my list .I'm sure Amtrak would like to hear all these feedbacks. Seriously, to anyone buying tickets online, double-check, and check again, that everything is right before you give them your money. I just tried to do a round-trip, and the computer did not give me the senior discount. So I did one-way, and it worked.
Those are very good points, AmtrakBlue. I used to only book one-way tickets, then I tried booking a round-trip for a short trip a couple of times to save putting in all the information again. But I think you're right--better to be safe and do the single tickets, even if it takes a little longer--I will go back to that.I never book round trips.
