It's obvious from that picture that the big announcement is Solari boards to be reinstalled in all stations.

Oooohh, those boards would be awesome to see again... especially when they're jacked up.
How about unveiling a new, more modern, engaging, and efficient amtrak.com in conjunction with the spring AGR promo.
Maybe, Amtrak & AGR combined on one site - one login and that's it.
Maybe they've updated it to allow paid and AGR reservations all on the same ticket.
Maybe you can finally book AGR sleeper accommodations online.
Hopefully, there's an updated, with all cities, AGR zone map somewhere.

I don't think so only because of the pic accompanying the second clue.
Looks like a lot of 'connect with us' icons and Facebook is one of them.
Also 'rewards' something at the bottom of the pic.
Could be a new app too, one that includes android.
The return of the Solari boards has a probability of zero. If we are going to suggest possible announcements that are NOT going to happen on Monday, my entry is:
"In a move that surprised many on Capitol Hill, Amtrak and Congressman Mica issued a joint statement that Congressman Mica was resigning from Congress and will be taking a position at Amtrak in charge of the Food & Beverage department".
No, it is going to be a mundane AGR promotion announcement. Or a website upgrade. <yawn>

Noooo! They can't change the AGR map! I've been saving up my AGR points for a trip on the Three Rivers!
And many times we do exactly that. But there are times & circumstances where the better choice is to merge.

Well, it looks like I'll be getting...*scribbles*
3206 points for one leg
945 points for a second leg
4886 points for the third [set of] legs
9037 points for my "circle trip" at a minimum, since my points-per-dollar margin just jumped from 5 per dollar to 7 per dollar (2 baseline, 1 status, 2 bonus, 2 AGR card). Once I throw in any points-running in either DC, Chicago, or Southern CA, I'm probably going to end up somewhere north of 10,000 for the trip once the dust settles. Sadly, only about 2800 or so of those will be TQPs...

That's probably what I would do if I were in that position. Operating a passenger railroad in the US involves lots of bureaucratic red tape, so any serious developments would likely leak out long before EIS during the planning and funding stages, but it's still amusing to see what folks come up with. How about a return to the 32,000 AGR points sign-up bonus? That would be pretty sweet and shouldn't require an act of congress.

You may be right about that, especially with that last clue.
A prize or discount contest of some sort.
Maybe one where you click the solari style board and it reveals your prize or discount?
It could be a contest app for Facebook.
You have to be logged on to fb to use any apps so that would make administering the contest easy.
The only thing that stops me from thinking that's the 'big surprise' is the 'connect with us' icons - fb is one of them.

An Amtrak social media site that will allow Amtrak fans a place to share photos and trip blogs/reports.
The clue says 'About All Aboard' 'Terms of Use' 'Welcome Aboard' etc.
I can't figure out what 'Sun Train' means and there are categories for 'Cross Country' and 'Short Trips' too.
Today's clue is the same as yesterday's clue.
The pic was posted (on purpose) upside down on Facebook.
