Nice post. I don't really know much of the history of "The Golden Age", but somehow always picture a bunch of fat-cat industrialists in their private cars. I am sure there were coach passengers back then too... but one never hears much about them. Today, the large majority of riders are in coach...

I have seen lots of people editing audio on the train in coach seats. I sometimes peer over their shoulder to see what kind of software and how many tracks they are working with (I use Adobe Audition). Most if not all trains have a cafe car with better tables for working on than the fold-down...

Well - don't be shy about logging on earlier than 7 Eastern... the server is up 24/7. As far as I can see, 7 pm Sundays is when there is most likely to be a group... but there is no rule against any other time. I find it easier to participate when there are fewer people who all know each...
