I don't know if this is correct, but I read somewhere that travel on Amtrak is cheaper Tuesday through Thursday? Also, I did book my December round trip 11 months in advance and, on checking recently, I see it's now almost $100 more expensive.

That has been a problem at times with the Rail Runner commuter train here in the ABQ area.

I live in New Mexico. Why are they coming here, and why do they think they need bring their own food? Maybe they're preparing for the world's end in 2012? :giggle:

My guess would be drugs, at least on the SWC. At least once a month there's a news story on local TV about a drug bust on that train coming East from LA.
