    From warm to cold!

Ahh, those Santa Ana winds in where I grew up. Hopefully no wild fires. It's balmy 38 degrees in Idaho.

    LAUS, Surfliner and CS

The bathroom you're talking about is located next to convenience store. Another bathroom is located in back of station, next to rear entrance of red & purple subway. Its use is very light.

Los Angeles hotel and luggage storage

Other option is to ask hotel lobby attendant to store luggage for a day when checking out, esp at Metro Plaza. Hey, there Phillipe's a block away!

    Moving

Well, the place where I'm at is right on the edge of declining Ogalla aquifier. Farmers has abandoning a lot of farm ground, let alone for ranch and/or dry land. I work on agriculture. I used to work on a dairy but went under due to very depressing milk price and drought. Now I work for a...

    New L.A. Waiting Room

LA Metropolitan Lounge to sleeper car on SWC? That's a really long way than the general waiting room. The SWC sleeper cars are located on the closer side to main line tracks.

Amtrak SouthWest Chief (4) cancelled :-(

Bus/San Joaquin connection is a guarantee because it's a dedicated Amtrak bus route. If bus is late, they'll hold the train for it.

First Class Lounge to open in LA Union Station?

I'm at LAUS reading the sign carefully. It's not about the Metrpolitan Lounge. It's about designated waiting area for Amtrak passengers within the main waiting room while the building closed.

    A couple of questions

In roommette, there is room for two small travel bags under each seat. Anything larger can put on luggage track on lower level. There is a page on Amtrak website that shows the size of sleeper rooms. Make a measurement on your floor to give you an idea. Hardest part is getting up on upper...

Southwest 737 lands at LaGuardia with nose wheel stuck

Right on! It's fun to watch crop dusters. Those pilots are daredevil. In my fire district which I volunteer, two planes went down after clipping power lines. Lucky, they walk away.

Anyone around Santa Barbara or Oakland willing to help?

Odd it is, there is In-N-Out Burgers at Fisherman's Wharf in San Fransisco. As a native Californian, I'll need to stop ay one of them soon! There are some in Salt Lake City and Dallas areas.
