As far as I know, the rotaries have not been used so far this season. UP has been able to clear the hill with flangers and spreaders. With all the snow in the Sierras this year, I wonder how many times the big rotaries have been sent out.
Not once so far. Jordan spreaders and the like have been adequate to get the ROW cleared after each big storm. With all the snow in the Sierras this year, I wonder how many times the big rotaries have been sent out.
Update: Update: California Zephyr Train 6 which departed Emeryville (EMY) on 2/26 will terminate in Roseville (RSV). No alternate transportation will be provided. Passengers will be returned to their respective boarding stations.
