Amtrak Status Maps Address Change

Some of you may have noticed that when you attempt to load the maps, et al, it sometimes takes too long. To counter that I've instituted another domain: statusmaps.com . This address will forward to the proper destination, which can change depending upon network conditions. So for any bookmarks that contain the following character strings:

• dixielandsoftware.com
• dixielandsoftware.net
• statusmaps.net

you should use statusmaps.com instead. This new domain is located with the same web services company as the normal destination, so it should make loading the web pages better.

I'm planning on letting go of "statusmaps.net" next month. What it does is forward the user from one web service to the real web service. That just slows the response time down.

Valid addresses are:

statusmaps.com

dixielandsoftware.net

dixielandsoftware.com - this one also does a "forward" but I'm going to keep it because I like the email service too darn much.
