Since the Crescent leaves so early (7AM) out of New Orleans and since we have to get all six of us to the station, I was thinking of showering upon boarding. Anyone done that or will SCA whine about it since we won't be traveling overnight (returning to Atlanta).

Once the SCA has introduced him/herself, and explained the features of your room, head to the shower. Then get dressed and go to the diner for breakfast. I've boarded the LSL in CHI, and was in the shower before the SCA had completed boarding the other passengers. The shower is there for you to use; the SCA shouldn't say a word ;)

Enjoy your trip on 20, I always do :)

I agree with Mike. If you are a sleeper car passenger - whether for a day trip or a night trip - you are entitled to use of all the facilities offered. If you have a really sour Sleeping Car Attendant (I'd say 40% are excellent, 50% are average, and 10% are hostile), don't worry about it. Use what you paid for.

You didn't explicitly state that you were actually travelling in a sleeper. Yes, the SCA will whine if you are a coach pax and you try to use his car's shower. ;)

Sorry. I thought that it was obvious we were. Especially since the daytime trip from NOL to ATL gets us 3 meals each for a $50 roomette for every two of us.

There are no time of day or times per day limits on the community showers.
