To the North of Damascus maybe. I doubt very much that the Turks would be allowed to venture South of Damascus by you know who But then you know who is also excellent at building and running a predominantly electrified railroad too and at least theoretically had a link to Jordan from Haifa in the works before things went to hell recently.
