I made a reply earlier in this thread last week and was tempted to follow my own advice yesterday. ( See Travelogue report made last night. ) I traveled by roomette Emeryville to Denver. The lady who was my SCA was a nice person, and she mentioned how much she was looking forward to retiring next August. That's good and she generally gave good service to the passengers, but I saw no signs that she had done anything about cleaning the toilets and had I stayed on the train past Denver, I would have had to say something to her. The" residue " subject was much in evidence and had a scrubber brush been handy, I would have cleaned them myself. I chose not to say anything, not so typical for me, not being in the mood to raise a stink.........

The SCA on #6/Car 632, JR, cleaned All of the Restrooms amd Shower regularly on our trip out of EMY! He's a 34 year Vet and one of the Best OBS I've ever had!!! When complented, his comment was " It's my job and I Live on this Train for 4 Days @ a time!"

Highest tip I've given a SCA ($30), he was worth it! Amttrak will hear from me also!!!

Yes, JR was excellent. He seemed to be cleaning the restroom every hour, if not more.
