I am riding the Keystones today on a round trip jaunt to and from Philadelphia. Both trains and 30th Street station are packed to the gills despite it being a Saturday in mid-December. Is this because of the holiday season? I don’t recall it being this busy, but then again I’ve never ridden Amtrak in mid-late December..

Thoughts?

End of fall semester for colleges will swell the number of riders this time of year. I expect there will be 200-300 passengers for at least two trains that stop in Newark DE on Monday or Tuesday as UDel has its finals on Monday.

You’ll know on your return trip, if you see passengers loaded down with packages…😉
