2. Cab fare from Washington station to the new Trump International Hotel ?

The fare should be about $10 or so. Though it all depends on when you arrive. The traffic can be a complete mess anywhere within the beltway, and would likely be quicker to walk the mile or so. The red line drops you off pretty close as well. If you are traveling light, thats a better option

The DC Metro Red Line from Union Station to Metro Center is a short trip. The Trump Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue is 2 blocks south and 1 block SE from the 12 St & F St exit at the Metro Center. Or 3 blocks south from the 11 St and G St exit.

If you want a shorter walk but take the Metro, the Trump hotel is across the street from the Orange/Blue/Silver Line Federal Triangle station exit. Straightforward transfer at Metro Center from the Red Line platforms on the upper level to the Orange/Blue/Silver line (center island) platform on the lower level. Then take the line 1 stop south to Federal Triangle.
