Perhaps they're just as consistent as Amtrak.

I'm sure there are some but most would be just considered everyday murders. But you do hear about "drug deal gone bad" occasionally.

Not a whole lot of “everyday murders” happening on a train.

I was searched in Chicago in April. They said they were looking for edibles and large amounts of cash. I let them go through my bags and fessed up to 120 in cash for tips on the train and cheese and crackers. They laughed and were very nice and professional. I don't think I was profiled, 63 year old retired teacher, but I did have some gummies with me. Just enough for the trip and not for resale!! I was the only roomette on the lower level so I don't know if they were looking at everyone. It was a little unsettling but were I an armed dealer I wouldn't want me on the train!
