Ha! Streetsblog.....

They haven't mentioned the whispers I'm hearing on the platforms about a potential strike....
Why would they? The article is about ridership, not the labor dispute. They have mentioned rumblings of a potential strike in the last few weeks but there really isn't any new news on that front right now.

The fare reduction has been fantastic as far as I'm concerned. It would be better if they get the schedule back up to full speed so there is better frequency.

I find streetsblog to be highly biased and cherry-picking with data to support their positions.

My personal experience is that the trains are picking up riders, but still waaaay below the before times.

I disagree with you on their cherry picking, mostly. John was fairly circumspect when writing about polling data re: renaming Lake Shore Drive, but that was one thing. I think they do an honest assessment of data. I don't think this article really disagrees with what you just said, picking up riders but still below before times. He talks about how ME has a larger share of the ridership. I also think arguments are better based on numbers, not "personal experience" that is not actually anything other than a personal observation that may or may not be biased and also missing the bigger picture since you can't be on every train.
