I disagree with you on their cherry picking, mostly. John was fairly circumspect when writing about polling data re: renaming Lake Shore Drive, but that was one thing. I think they do an honest assessment of data. I don't think this article really disagrees with what you just said, picking up riders but still below before times. He talks about how ME has a larger share of the ridership. I also think arguments are better based on numbers, not "personal experience" that is not actually anything other than a personal observation that may or may not be biased and also missing the bigger picture since you can't be on every train.I find streetsblog to be highly biased and cherry-picking with data to support their positions.
My personal experience is that the trains are picking up riders, but still waaaay below the before times.
