Has anyone been encountering issues with utilizing the 40% flash sale today? I was reviewing prices on the Amtrak website yesterday (Friday, November 8th) and I was able to see the sale applied to various routes, but today, I'm not seeing the discount applied to any routes now.

According to the Amtrak website,

But, it seems I'm not able to see the discounts applied to the specific routes today. Is anyone else able to see them?

Troubleshooting wise, I have cleared cache and cookies, and have also tried utilizing when logged into my online Amtrak account as well.

I have also ensured that the routes that I'm looking at meet these criteria:

You could tell it was discounted with the sale as it did have a green "Sale" flag on the route that was discounted.

I have had no problem using the sale. Haven’t had to do anything special.

One weird thing about this sale is that it’s not valid when boarding on a Friday or Sunday. Also, in the past, there has been limited inventory of sale fares per each train. I’m not sure if that’s the case with this sale.

We're all going up to Boston in the middle of December, and I was able to snag sale tickets for our Tuesday return. Saved about $200 apiece on Acela First. But no bargains on our Sunday trip up. Even the Northeast Regional coach fares are wicked expensive.
Not to pry, but I’m wondering how much you paid per ticket and what your city pairs are? I know this is none of my business, but typically these sales don’t apply to Acela first. The lowest price is typically $253 from New York to Boston and this seems to be the case checking some random December dates. I think maybe you just got a good price irrespective of this flash sale?

The Tuesday fare listed on the app had a big notice above each departure that said "Sale." It might not have said "40% flash sale " but it definitely was a sale price. I'm going from Baltimore to Boston. It's very rare to get Acela First for less than $350. The Sunday fares, which were NOT marked "sale" were a good $200 higher. That's why we're going up on a Northeast Regional. I mean, this trip is going to be at the start of the Christmas season, and Sunday is almost always more expensive than the middle of the week.
