PHOTO: New Mexico Semaphores

Thought I'd share this shot from my recent trip on train 4. Semaphores at MP 781.1, between the Chapelle and Ojita sidings on the BNSF Glorieta Sub in Northeast New Mexico, Jan. 15, 2015. Taken from a dirty railfan window. Wanted to get these shots before the possible abandonment of the Raton Pass line!

Nice shot! In that photo, at least, the line looks pretty decent, maintenance-wise, and hard to believe it might be abandoned......

Excellent photo! I agree that the track looks pretty decent, but the semaphores are the problem- they're already way past outdated and very expensive to replaced!

There is a nice Facebook page about the SWC on this line in NM. A new picture almost everyday and many have the semaphores.
