Just for kicks I decided to see what the rooms were selling for for our trip on Texas Eagle between Christmas and New Years. Well rooms are sold out on the way down and $300 to upgrade to roommette. But the kicker is that the coach has doubled in price. I bought our tickets in August. Yikes. I wonder if it is wrong? I have never seen it go up that much.

I know when I bought in August, the roommettes were expensive. Shortly after, I booked roommettes to N.O. A lot cheaper. You pay for the holidays. Even last year we went on the train to N.O. and it the roommettes weren't that expensive as Texas Eagle.
