Greenwood, MS does not appear to be a long stop on the City of New Orleans. I will update this when I get home from my rail pass trip.

In other news Conductor Drill Sargent made an announcement here in Greenwood threatening the cops on anyone who takes up two seats.

I assume the train is pretty full if that tone of announcing is being used? I hopethat you will post a report about your rail pass trip, any issues or tips would be great, as I am planning one myself.

I slept through Texarkana, but Railrat says that you are right. My source was the coach attendant, so I think I’ll keep it on my site.

Los Angeles is rarely announced as a smoke break on-board the Surfliner. And because of the nature of the train, if you do get up you risk having someone mistakenly take your seat since there's usually a lot of crossover.
