The City of New Orleans, will it be on schedule?

Just a quick update, Anthony (AmtrakCajin) arrived into NYP today on the Crescent and I met him at the station. After a quick lunch, I walked him up to the Port Authority bus station and down to the gate for his bus.

He reported having a great trip up in his first sleeper ride ever, and had a great SCA too for his first run.

Should be sometime next weekend before he's back home and on his computer.

The CONO is running again to New Orleans. The first northbound train #58 out of New Orleans left on time today at 1:45pm. The first southbound train #59 to New Orleans departed Chicago last night. It arrived into New Orleans a little over an hour late.

Good to hear! I think I'll put on my Arlo Guthrie CD and listen to "ridin' on the City of New Orleans" while I plan a trip down to the big easy for a visit to jazz brunch at the court of Two sisters and a tour of the WWII museum, civil war museum, aquarium, street car ride, etc. etc.

Did I mention seafood?
