I have the same problem. The videos are in a separate area when I try to post and do not show up.

I’m sure that there are many out there who can educate us!

I have a video to go with it, but can’t figure how to post it....

Thanks for those 2 pics of the Okeechobee station, since other than on this site about Amtrak stations throughout the US( http://www.trainweb.org/usarail/okeechobee.htm ), I hadn't seen any pics of Okeechobee's station. Also according to this site( http://www.greatamericanstations.com/stations/okeechobee-fl-oke/ ), it at least has gotten a new building and platform thankfully! Reminds me of what the newer and upgraded station at Rensselaer, IN, plus also Dyer, IN look like.

Now if only the Amtrak stations at Crawfordsville, IN, and Elyria, OH, could finally be upgraded! South Bend, IN could use a better station, than the existing one they borrowed from South Shore Line in 1992. For those who don't know, that was the year only Amtrak would from now on stop at the current South Bend station, and that South Shore's(commuter railroad) South Bend station was moved from there to South Bend Airport. There is a local bus connection on Transpo(bus route #4) to downtown, for those who were wondering if one exists. Though sadly, South Bend Transpo bus service doesn't run on Sundays, and you'd have to rely on Uber/Lyft to get downtown(or elsewhere) if you visit on Sunday, and don't take a bike with you on the South Shore train.

In South Bend, a few have floated the idea of restoring the former South Bend Union Station, and bringing it back for South Shore and/or Amtrak service again. It is a nice historic building, and is within walking distance of a minor league stadium, plus downtown South Bend. This is the old South Bend Union Station, for those who were wondering from google street view: https://goo.gl/maps/DijQua1JS1dax2QU8

Thanks for providing that (second) link...offers a nice capsule history of my town.

At one time there was an FEC (branch line) depot, and a SAL depot. The FEC one is long gone, but the old SAL (and Amtrak) depot was only recently raized...it sat next to the new one for several years . It was not architecturally distinctive enough to warrant preservation...

BTW since I clicked on that url and weirdly it didn't load correctly(first link to Trainweb's site of pics of all Amtrak station depots), here's a corrected link. Where hopefully noone will have issues getting it to properly load, this time: http://www.trainweb.org/usarail/okeechobee.htm (just for Okeechobee's station)

And you're welcome, railiner. It is interesting to see how the depot building has changed to be like in Okeechobee, over all these years.

Wow! Great find, thanks so much for posting. I have passed thru here way back when the old station was still in operation, but at that time, I had little or no interest in it. And since I have moved down here in August, I never got a chance to see it close. So it is great to get a fairly good look at what once was here...

It is too bad that more rail photographer's don't seem to have much interest in the railway infrastructure...how many station interior's can you find on the internet, as opposed to three quarter shots of locomotive's?

I agree, that unfortunately it's hard to find pics of rail infrastructure out there! I.e. railroad junction switching towers(sadly many of those are now demolished), train station depot buildings, an inside shot of such buildings(since I like to get such a photo if possible on my train trips, IF we have a long enough smoke/stretch break somewhere allowing for such an opportunity), etc. And sadly if such a building was torn down long ago, much harder to find pics of such building(s) that are now demolished.

Hence why I was very glad, to discover that Trainweb site of photos of Amtrak depots all over the country( http://www.trainweb.org/usarail/okeechobee.htm ). Though from its parent site these Okeechobee pics are hosted on, there are PLENTY all over the US shown there, even of discontinued Amtrak stops!
