Regardless of which station is used, there is one move to watch. That is the sale of rail line in Oklahoma, ( from Oklahoma City to Sapulpa). BNSF is one of bidders.Date of bid opening was published in Tulsa World( Tulsa newspaper). This line once owned by Santa Fe was given up by demand in order to Merge with Burlington Northern. Should BNSF be successful in their bid and govt. allows it, Will this be another oil route or will this be made into a higher speed route. Has not Illinois made line from Chicago to St Louis for speeds of up to 125 or 150 mph? Will this new (renovated) line(St. Louis To Oklahoma City) be ready for passenger service by Jan 1,2015? Note: BNSF ask State Of Okalahoma to sell it to them. Article indicated State of Oklahoma has to sell through a bid process. Question arises-- is this a part of a big reroute of " Southwest Chief" or is Southwest Chief going to die and another( " San Francisco Chief") take its place. What was route of San Francisco Chief?

The current station in St. Louis can be expanded if needed. I doubt if a dinosaur like St. Louis Union Station would ever return to rail service. The current owners can barely keep it open, much less rebuild it for rail service.
Well at least its no longer an Amshack but a real station fitting for a city that replaced its role.

Might want to re consider your answers. Read in Tulsa World article by Kyle Arnold "Intrest in Tulsa-OKC passenger rail heightens again" posted Sunday,January 5,2014 12:00am. Also read article in same newspaper by Curtis Killman "Rail line between Sapula, Del City gets four purchase offers", Posted Tuesday, February 4,2014 12:00 am.
