The section beds are the largest on the train.

Bigger than those in the cabins.

I am 6'2" and had no issues sleeping comfortably,

although the upper section berth fit me a little better.

I took a medium sized soft sided duffle and a small canvas

carry on bag with me and put both on the end/side of

the berth while sleeping. No problems.

You can still stow bags at night under the lower berth just

would need to be quiet getting to them if the lower berth

was occupied and theperson sleeping.

Another plus for the berths is that the beds are orientated

the direction the train is traveling. Less rocking motion.

The cabin beds are cross-wise in the car.

Have a great time!

Hi,

The Via Rail website is only offering Vancouver to Toronto deals up to 15 March... You could maybe check again in a weeks time, to see if the 20 March is included in the deals, and if so, maybe cancel your original booking? Dunno what the score is with Via Rail cancelations, as I have never used them before. I think it depends on your ticket, maybe you can cancel but lose $100? Might still work out cheaper, depending on any new fares offer next week?

Otherwise, moving your travel date forward to 15 March might be an option for you?

Anyway, I hung on and hung on, and I have been lucky to find such a great fare for myself... normaly it goes the other way, I miss out on something cheap and end up paying extra!

Hi Jim, They will take your dollars too! I will probably fly to NYC and stay for a few days, then take the train up to Toronto. I guess I will need my warm coat in both places!

Cheers,

Eddie
