Who is on the train today (Christmas Day)?

Let us know how it is - crowded? Empty? If there is food, is is special? Are people friendlier than normal, in the "Christmas spirit"?

I'm on CS 11, just coming into Davis. See the "Mechanical problems on 14(22)" thread for more. No special decorations or food, but Christmas music playing in the PPC. Pretty busy; the SCA has been redoing compartments all morning. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

And we did make the connection to 796 (see the other thread for that drama....) So I got two train trips for Christmas 2012. It was less relaxing than I would have liked, but oh well, I got to SAN...and on trains with no bustitution, so that was a great present.

I was on #11 from Seattle to Oakland, Jack London Sq. the Diner had a turkey dinner in addition to the regular menu. What was a nice treat was the great dome was deadheading on our train. too bad it wasn't accessable.

I did have a little scare as when I arrived on #14 on the 21st I was bussed from Everett to Edmonds. When I made the reservations they asked if they could put both trips on the same ticket, I said OK (DO NOT DO THIS). Because we were bussed, my trip was cancled and the points refunded, hoowever they also cancled my trip on #11. I was a little nervious because it was sounding like all roomettes were sold out, but they get me a roomette and on the train in time. I was glad I was early to the station though.
