11:15 am, MDT, Friday. 2 Sept. 2011 According to what we have figured out here in the Denver area, there will be NO train service east of Denver, for a while... Ft. Morgan is the first stop east of DEN, so they referred to that stop, rather than DEN. (strange...) CZ will only operate...

Michele... The Denver - Grand Junction program ends on Labor Day weekend. The last trips in each direction will be on the Sat - Sunday weekend, 3 - 4 Sept, if the train is not too late. If the train is more than 6 hours late, in either direction, we do not go. It is tough to point out...

Tuesday, 3:30 pm, MDT Today's CZ # 5 as of now, is scheduled to arrive in Denver at 9:30 pm tonight, some 14 plus hours late. It left Chicago on time yesterday, and was doing OK up to the Lincoln, Omaha area. The website only says 'service disruption', call Amtrak for information. It seems...

The Denver area has had lots of rain this past week, afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Parts of metro Denver have had over 5 inches of rain in July, alone. That is a lot for this part of the country... Don't know if that caused any of the delays... ? Tend to doubt it. Peter

8:30 am MDT RE: CZ # 6 This train arrived in Denver at 8 am today, over 13 hours late... I am also puzzled why this train got so late, between Glenwood Springs, CO. and Granby, CO. ? Westbound # 5 is not doing much better... it is running 7.5 hours late coming into Denver today. Peter
