I've been getting into lounges since I made Select Plus back in 2011, and before 2019 or so, you didn't even need a same day Amtrak ticket. I'd ride down to Washington early on the MARC train and hang out in the lounge for a half hour or so until it was time for me to go to work. Even now, I ride down on Amtrak ($15 or less ticket) and hang out in the lounge until my appointments. I've gotten into all the lounges, even Chicago, using Select Plus.Select plus here... got into the lounge in NYC a few days ago with a $13.50 ticket... no problem

Does the lounge in NYC have an option for storing luggage?
Yes, there are "lockers" (which don't lock
.) Never had a problem finding an empty one at floor level, even on my last trip when the lounge was nearly full.
It’s been awhile since I’ve used the lounge in D.C. For someone with hearing difficulties this is a nice upgrade to getting in.
