I was going to make a spreadsheet just for NC stations and their ridership numbers but I found a site that had ridership numbers for every almost every station from 2005 to 2022. What I can't seem to find, and that is not surprising is ridership numbers for stations before 2005. A website in Montana has some stats I have yet to place in the spreadsheet, though there is a link on the "Sources" sheet with the information, and that is about all I have found for station numbers pre-2005. Digging through the archives of edits on Wikipedia may also produce some ridership numbers pre-2205,but that requires some others to help spend time doing that work. Presently I am adding ridership numbers for 2023 from the Amtrak State Fact sheets. Also a few stations seem to have been left off the huge data dump I found as I had to add Tuscaloosa, AL and Burbank seems to have two stations and I am not seeing where the ridership numbers are split between the two stations in the big data dump.

I have done some digging around to find pre-2005 data but not much luck. I have not contacted Amtrak not the federal DOT and I doubt they have anything not posted. I do wonder if RPA has any old data, and if anyone has an inside contact with RPA please help. I am a member but an active member might get more out of them. I am not sure when Amtrak started publishing State Fact Sheets with station ridership numbers.

If anyone wants to help input 2023 and 2024 data and also fill in old data when it is found then the Google Drive is here. Anyone with the link can access and edit the document. I will make a copy every now and then as well.

The URL is docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Z9witY6yaaS3L92x7DJ1cdFRvxVPUPHcYCII5gjtZ8k/edit?usp=sharing and hopefully that takes you to the file and not just embeds it in this post.

It would be interesting to see all the data if we can find it. I am open to including Brightline data on a separate sheet. if that can be found and better to do that sooner than later before that data is also lost from the web.
