And to add to what JIS just said, this is why you should never ride in vestibule ends of a coach, it is the crumple zone of the car.

    Airo - Amfleet I replacement Siemens Inter City Trainsets (ICT) (2021 - 1Q 2024)

The Dual modes for Empire service are being bought by NY state, not Amtrak As for continuous operation in E mode, guaranteed even if its touted, it will be on as needed bases per operations center, just like current Genesis The third rail has many gaps, for section switches, interlockings etc...

    Amtrak Siemens Charger locomotive (SC44, ALC42, ALC42E) (2015 - 1Q 2024)

Seat belts are of no use, even hitting a truck does not really decelerate a train. The entire cab is a safety cage and despite windows shattered does not even mean glass entered cab as several layers of plastic are embedded, the corner post did their job despite being damaged.

Amtrak is finally coming to Scranton!

UP is a railroad with deep pockets and support shops all over. PTC requires daily testing and specialists to maintain it. chances of a park service maintaining PTC equipment is near zero.
