I took the AmBus from CVS to RVR in April. It was a nice bus with only Amtrak passengers, I don't recall the scenery, but the ride was enjoyable.

Rental cars are available in Lancaster, not far from the Amtrak station. We always have a meal at Miller's near Ronk, PA. Delicious Amish food and you can watch the Amish farmers tending their fields from the rear dining room.

Shortly after my back surgery, I had the H room on a Viewliner. It was a nice room, spacious and with a large bathroom. It was comfortable. The electrical outlet was in the front wall (cords were on the floor across the room) and on several occasions, passengers would open the door...

We arrived Winter Haven, FL yesterday on the Silver Star. Had lunch when we departed Tampa. The LSA told us that was the last dining car meal for the Star until January 31, 2016 - or perhaps forever.

I think I screwed up. I previously purchased 15,000 points for me. Recently, I purchased 5,000 points for another person, then I realized that I had gone over the limit. My credit card was charged for the second purchase, but no points were delivered to the account for which I purchased...

Great trip report Tyler. You were kind to accompany your grandmother on the trip. Maybe on your next trip on the Cap, you will be in the sleeper where it is usually more quiet than in coach. Sounds like you had a nice visit to Chicago, although short.

I was on #92 yesterday. The sleepers were on the front of the train. The H room and Bedroom A were facing the direction of the train. Bedroom B was facing the rear of the train.

I find the letter to be appropriate and well written. I can see your frustration. We have changed two trips from the Star to the Meteor due to the absence of the dining car.
