Welcome. I am a Million Mile Flyer with United, but when I retired, I switched

from airplanes to trains. We moved from NJ to Florida last year, but I don't

really miss NJ. I hope you like AU and will be an active poster.

CCC is my initials, and 1007 is the old radio call sign of the builder on BN tracks.

My name refers to one of my main passions: the theater world. I've had the extreme good fortune of performing in shows out in MT, FL, IL and WI. I posted a more in-depth intro over in the introductions area. Hope to become more of a regular!

Welcome to AU! One of our members is a career theater person, GG-1 and he shares our love of trains!

Good to know- thanks for the welcome!

"C855B" is a one-of-a-kind locomotive built in 1963 by Alco (American Locomotive Co.) for Union Pacific. It was part of a bid program for higher horsepower locomotives. It was quirky, almost Rube Goldberg in appearance, is alleged to have caught fire on its first run, and was scrapped only 8 years later. Plus it had no cab - it had to be connected to other locomotives to work.

Somehow I identify with it.

ANRR is my user name - Apalachicola Northern RR, a short line in north Florida. I'm in a historical group here that restored the last surviving depot on the AN and established a RR museum in it.

AKA --not also known as.--Any Navy people out there? It was a ship designation. Lets see if anyone can come up with the answer. My first user name was APA. Got lost in a misfire in the forum some how. Same deal, a ship designation. My member number would be lower if I had not lost the APA. I thought some one might pick up on the letters and make the connection. I guess my shipmates are not train people. http://discuss.amtraktrains.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/sad.gif or none of you guys where my shipmates. You will have to go back a few years to find the APA AKA desingnation. If anyone does find the answer, be kind about my age. http://discuss.amtraktrains.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/biggrin.gif http://discuss.amtraktrains.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/biggrin.gif http://discuss.amtraktrains.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/biggrin.gif Hint Viet Nam http://discuss.amtraktrains.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/sad.gif

Hey, newbie here. Skelly_nbc would be my first initial and last name Kelly, underscore, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Operations Specialist. Which is what I did for 15 of my 20-year Army career. I retired in 2007 and live in Kansas. Recovering from a divorce which officially ended 3 days prior to our 27th anniversary.

I don't work so I enjoy Riding my 2007 Harley Davidson Road King to live and living to RIDE!

I'm on here because I love taking the train, you get wherever you're headed so much more relaxed. Then have Enterprise rent a car pick you up. Pretty sweet! I think 100% (Service Connected) Disabled should be able to ride system wide for free. But that'll never happen in my lifetime, so we travel as a family of 6 out in the open where the kids and wife cannot sleep. Whereas passengers in the sleep cars don't have said issues...

My two cents,

Sean E. Kelly

Sergeant First Class,

U.S. Army (Retired)
